My Church Family: A Testament of Faith, Love and Restoration

Image
There is something truly special about finding a church family that not only welcomes you with open arms but also walks beside you through every high and low. My journey with my home cell and church family has been nothing short of miraculous. Their presence has transformed my life, my marriage, and my children’s upbringing, and I cannot imagine walking this faith journey without them. A Safe Haven in the Storm When my marriage was on the brink of collapse due to addiction, and divorce seemed inevitable, my church family became my anchor. They didn’t just offer words of encouragement; they embodied the hands and feet of Jesus. They prayed with me, wept with me, and provided tangible support when I felt I had nothing left. In those dark days, food parcels showed up when my pantry was empty, and my hope was nearly gone. My home cell didn’t just say, “We’re here for you”—they proved it with every act of love. They checked in on me, made sure my children were taken care of, and...

The Miracle of Trusting God Completely

Image
I had nothing. Not a cent. Not a backup plan. Just a need so deep it brought me to my knees. I sat down to pray, pouring my heart out to God, surrendering my fears, my doubts, and my situation. I had no solution, no idea how things would work out—but I knew that God was my provider. As I whispered "Amen," my phone buzzed. A payment had come through. Unexpected. Unplanned. Perfect timing. That moment wasn’t luck. It wasn’t coincidence. It was God. Too often, we make backup plans, trying to control the outcomes of our lives. But real faith means trusting God without a safety net. It means knowing that He will come through—even if we don’t see how. If you’re in a season of uncertainty, I want to encourage you: Don’t make other plans. Don’t let fear push you into doubt. Trust God completely. His timing is perfect. His provision is sure. And sometimes, His miracles happen the moment you say, Amen.

The Pre-school Germ Cycle- Why sick Kids Should Stay Home

Image
As a preschool owner, I see it happen all the time—parents dropping off a child with a runny nose, a lingering cough, or even a mild fever. The next week, I hear frustrated complaints: “My child is always sick!” I get it. Keeping a sick child home is hard. Parents have jobs, responsibilities, and sometimes no backup plan for childcare. But here’s the truth: when one sick child comes to school, it doesn’t just affect that child—it affects everyone. How the Germ Cycle Works A child comes to school with a slight fever and a cough. They touch the toys, hug their friends, and share crayons. By the end of the day, the virus has spread. A few days later, another child gets sick, then another, then a teacher. And before you know it, parents are calling to say their whole household is down with a bug. This cycle happens over and over, especially in preschools, where little hands are constantly exploring and sharing everything (including germs). So, What Can We Do? I know keepi...

The Girl I Prayed for: Navigating Motherhood with my only Daughter

Image
From the moment I found out I was going to be a mother, my heart swelled with anticipation and love. I prayed for a daughter—someone to share in the beauty of womanhood, someone who would look up to me and I could guide through life’s challenges. My only daughter after 3 sons and 2 miscarriages, other than my stepdaughter, is the answer to that prayer, and every day with her is a gift. But motherhood, as anyone with young children knows, is full of unexpected twists. While I am beyond grateful for my daughter, it hasn’t been without its challenges. She’s had developmental delays, moments when I’ve wondered if I could ever truly catch up with all that she needs. I’ve spent countless hours researching, reaching out to specialists, and praying over her. Every step of her journey has been a mix of joy and difficulty, but I’ve learned that every struggle brings us closer. Recently, though, we’ve faced a new challenge: separation anxiety. I knew it was coming, but it doesn’t make...

Welcome to my journey:Faith, Motherhood and the Struggle of being Self-employed

Image
There are days when I wake up and wonder how I will make it through. The weight of responsibility presses on my chest before I even open my eyes. Running a private Educare, being self-employed, raising my children, and trying to survive when school fees go unpaid—it's a constant battle. And yet, here I am. Still standing. Still fighting. Still trusting in God to make a way where there seems to be none. Why I Started This Blog I started this blog because I know I am not alone. There are other mothers out there who are carrying the same heavy burdens—mothers who are running businesses, caring for children, and wondering how they will put food on the table when income is uncertain. There are women who are sick, exhausted, and yet still have to keep going because no one else will pick up the pieces for them. I want this blog to be a place of honesty, faith, and encouragement. A space where we can talk about the realities of struggling financially, feeling isolated, and lean...

When Everything Hits at Once: Trusting God through the storm.

Image
There are moments in life when everything seems to come crashing down all at once, and you can’t help but feel overwhelmed. Recently, my entire family, all at once, came down with sickness—myself included. As a mom of four, and twin stepkids I miss, the responsibility feels heavy even on the best of days, but when sickness sweeps through, everything becomes so much harder. The house feels quieter, the air heavier, and every task that once felt simple now feels insurmountable. On top of that, the cupboards are bare, and the last stretch until payday looms large. I find myself stressing about how I’m going to make it, how to stretch what little we have, and feeling the weight of responsibility even more. There’s an ache in my heart, not only for my family’s well-being but for my own sense of peace. But in the midst of it all, there’s one thing I find myself longing for—the constant urge to go to church. It's not just the physical space I’m craving; it's the presence of God. In th...
