He's Risen: A heart of praise this Easter
As we enter this sacred season, my heart is overflowing with gratitude and awe. We are walking into the time where our Lord was crucified—where He bore the weight of the world, our sins, our shame—and yet, He rose again in victory. What a powerful truth. What an unthinkable sacrifice. What a Savior!
Last night, while I was cooking supper, I found myself singing praises—just worship pouring out while stirring pots and flipping pans. Today, with a speaker in hand, I walked through the classrooms at our school, letting worship fill the halls. The children began to dance, to laugh, to sing. My heart could hardly contain the joy. Isn’t God so wonderful?
Even my own little ones—my precious three-year-old with his arms stretched wide, and my baby girl, lifting her tiny hands to heaven—worshiping like they know exactly who the songs are for. And I believe they do. That’s the Spirit of God. That’s the presence of Jesus in our home, in our hearts.
I’m overwhelmed with thankfulness for the gift of knowing Jesus. And that’s exactly what it is—a gift. One I never earned, but one He gave freely when He stretched out His arms on that cross. My heart aches for those who don’t know Him, who haven’t tasted this love, this grace, this peace. If I could, I would shake the world and say, “Please, just believe!” Because I know—oh, I know—how their lives would change.
But as disciples of Christ, we’re not here to force faith. We’re here to plant seeds, to love, to speak truth, to praise loudly and boldly, and then trust God to do the growing.
If you’re reading this, I hope you truly realize how blessed you are to know Jesus. And if you’re still searching, I want you to know this: Jesus is waiting for you. His arms are open wide. He’s not just a historical figure—He is the Risen King, the Savior of your soul, the Lover of your heart.
This Easter season, I encourage you:
Read the Word like it's your lifeline—because it is.
Praise Him with your whole heart, even if you feel broken.
Lay your burdens down and believe He is enough.
Pray like it’s your last meal on earth and watch heaven move.
Jesus is my Savior. My Provider. My Protector. My Father. My Friend. My Peace. My Joy. My Life.
My Jesus.
And if you’ve never chosen Him before—do it now. Don’t wait.
He will save you.
All you need is faith. Just a mustard seed. That’s all it takes.
A Prayer for Easter:
Father God,
As we remember the cross and the empty tomb, we thank You for the gift of Your Son. Thank You for the blood that was shed and the victory that was won. Lord, help us to live with grateful hearts, to praise You in every moment, and to reflect the love of Jesus wherever we go.
Stir our spirits, reignite our faith, and use us to plant seeds of hope in others.
And for the one reading this who is unsure or searching—I pray they feel Your presence now. I pray they feel Your love wrapping around them. Jesus, save them, hold them, and make them new.
We love You, Lord.
In Jesus’ mighty name,
Amen.
